Sadly, another rock legend has passed too soon as the iconic Prince died yesterday at just 57 years old. His music was universal and his performances were epic.

The one that stands out to me is his halftime performance at Superbowl 41. The Bears played the colts in the rain and the game was pretty much forgettable (Colts over the Bears 29-17). However the halftime show, anything but.

Prince’s set included a nice mix of covers and originals but it was his rendition of Purple Rain at the end that made this show truly epic. It was raining, and it was perfect.
