While politics are waging and people in the street are warring against those who are there to help them, coming across this story can bring a tear to your eye for a different reason. This is Fred. Fred is trending this week because of his conviction to attend college.

Fred rode his younger brothers bicycle 50 miles to register for college earlier this month. He arrived with nothing but a tent, which he pitched near the college. Police officers were about to make him leave, until they started talking to him. They heard his story and decided to put him up in a hotel room for a few nights. From there the community got involved after hearing Fred’s story and a GoFundMe page was started for him and it raised over $184,000!!!! Here’s more on the story from Fox5Atlanta.
