Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley took the stage together for the first time in 16 years this past Wednesday night in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Simmons and his band headlined The Children Matter benefit concert to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey and was joined by Ace for three old KISS songs that he wrote — “Parasite,” “Cold Gin” and “Shock Me.”
Simmons is one of the founders of The Children Matter, which works to help children around the world. On stage during the event Simmons stated that “the devastation that hit Houston could have happened anywhere – whether it’s earthquakes and stuff” and continued to say “we gotta take care of ourselves. Americans are the first responders anywhere in the world there’s devastation and the least we can do is help our fellow Americans, okay? So all of you listening, you’re all Americans, go to The Children Matter dot NGO and do your part.”
Earlier that day Simmons, Frehley, Don Felder and Rick Nielsen go together for a memorable interview that you can also see below along with video from the performance of Simmons and Frehley.
