As you may be aware, this past Saturday in Cleveland, was the annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction and during the ceremony the HOF paid tribute to some of the artists that have passed since last year’s ceremony.
The Killers opened the show with a tribute to Tom Petty by doing “American Girl” with a little bit of “Free Fallin'” tossed in at the end.
Then, Ann Wilson (Heart), who inducted The Moody Blues, and guitarist Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains later did a moving version of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” in honor of Chris Cornell. That video is posted below and it’s bad ass, enjoy.
