This fall, with the news of Eddie Van Halen’s ongoing treatment for cancer, original lead singer David Lee Roth made statements that he would be the guy to carry on the Van Halen’s live music legacy.
Today, news broke that Roth will be joining the Kiss End of the Road Tour as the opening act! Basically, it’s a bonus show for those of you who’ve already purchased your KISS February 15 tickets for the Civic Center show. Now, you’ll get to hear Roth and his band perform many of the Van Halen songs you loved.
KISS put out a statement today: “David Lee Roth will bring his exciting stage show featuring a twin-guitar, big rock sound and a set list of classic hits and future energy.” KISS’s Gene Simmons, you may remember, produced Van Halen’s demo tape after he saw them play at a Pasadena, CA, club back in the 70’s.
