If you grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, you probably only heard Elton John on the radio doing weak, soft rock songs and Disney movie tunes. Too bad.
Elton John, while never a hard rocker, certainly did bring the heat and passion to his music throughout his first decade or so, IMO. So, for those who never knew Elton could rock (and Bernie Taupin could write some searing lyrics), I’ll be going back to the earlier Elton. I certainly owe my love of EJ to my older siblings, who played Tumbleweed Connection and Madman Across the Water with frequency. Enjoy these lost Elton John classics this week:
