Brandon Boyd, Incubus frontman, reviled via Instagram that he will be appearing on American Idol! “I’m goin in to the the tv to be a guest mentor on @americanidol’s celebrity duets episodes.”
The other celebrities joining him are Josh Groban, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Jewel, Maroon 5’s PJ Morton, Brian McKnight, country stars Jason Aldean and Jimmie Allen, singer/songwriter Ben Rector, soul singer Joss Stone, pop star Tori Kelly, and American Idol season five runner-up Katharine McPhee.
Boyd also said “You wont believe how talented these kids are. I’m genuinely humbled to sing alongside them.”
The All-Star Duets Week episodes will air this Sunday and Monday, April 4 and 5. Each all-star will sing separately with two of the top 24 contestants.
American Idol is not know for developing rock stars so its not really a show that we usually watch or even talk about, however, with the addition of Brandon Boyd is it enough to get you to tune, at least for the two episodes?
