In 30 Days I’ll be running from Chicago To Peoria
My team and I will cover over 136 miles in 36 hours.
30-45 is how many miles I run (average) each year.
If I can raise $12,000 this year, I’ll have raised $50,000 in 6 years!
$2,000,000 is what it costs to operate St. Jude for ONE DAY!
75% of those costs are covered by YOU and your donations.
$0 is what families pay to be treated at St. Jude!
Peoria, Illinois is the first affiliate clinic and is located in the Children’s Hospital of Illinois at OSF-Saint Francis Medical Center and was established in 1972.
I’ve been fighting tendinitis in my knee thanks to over training the past several months, each day I am in pain and most day’s I have a hard time walking for long periods. I haven’t ran in several weeks. What I have been doing is going to physical therapy 2x’s a week, focusing on lots of biking to keep my cardio up and visits to my chiropractor to help with the healing. I’m doing everything I possibly can to get my body ready for this run, however there is a real possibility that all I will be able to do is be a cheerleader on the sidelines. I’m absolutely heartbroken thinking about this. I feel like I’ve let you down, I feel like I’m letting Reagan’s family down, I feel like I’m letting myself down. However, I’m not quitter and I refuse to give up but its a real possibility I wont be able to run much more than just a few miles, if even at all. I ask…will you still support me IF I can’t run?
It’s not about me, it’s about the kids who are fighting, the families who are trying to survive this disease, so if I can’t even lace up my Nike’s I ask…will you still support St. Jude and help raise $60,000 for these kids and families? You don’t have to give $100, or even $25, how about just $10? Even the cheapest of cheap asses can afford $10!!!!!
If all I can do is nothing, will you still do something?
