Greg Warren’s been making us laugh on the Bob and Tom Show on 95.5, GLO, and at the Jukebox Comedy Club in person for years. He’s an affable Midwest former college wrestler who turned to comedy, rather than grab a cubicle in corporate America, not that there’s anything wrong with that.
I got to talk to Greg today in a convo that could’ve gone endlessly on – he’s easy and funny to talk to, just like he is on the radio and on stage. Greg touches on multiple topics during our chat, which you can listen to below. He’s at the Jukebox for two shows Friday night and two more on Saturday. But the first one Saturday is at 5pm, called a “kid show,” for younger folks aged 10-18. Greg does his even cleaner set for them and parents, then has an interactive segment with the kids afterward.
He’s a sharp, funny guy who likes to focus on every day topics, events and relationships. He calls out the absurdity in life, and he targets himself more than anything. You won’t hear him talk about current events or politics. He’s had his own Comedy Central special and fared well on Last Comic Standing a few years ago. Catch one of the great Midwest comedic talents this weekend in Peoria, the Flute Man!
