The upcoming 4-CD box set of Tom Petty previously unreleased material, An American Treasure, is due to drop Spetember 28. We’ve heard one of the songs, “Keep A Little Soul,” already. Now, the Petty estate has released a video for another song off it, “You and Me (Clubhouse Version).”
The song “You and Me” originally came out on the 2002 Petty album, “The Last DJ.” This version was apparently redone in 2007. The video combines photographs submitted by Petty fans with video of Benmont Tench playing piano to the song at the group’s rehearsal venue earlier this month.
The new song is a stripped down, slow-tempo one, one that might bring a tear to your eyes if you’re a big TP Fan. Enjoy “You and Me (Clubhouse Version).”
