Toto Week On Doc’s Deep Dive At 6:15p, As Toto Plays Peoria This Week [AUDIO] [VIDEO]

Toto’s playing Peoria Wednesday night at the Civic Center Theater for the first time in 37 years! To the best of my research, Toto’s last visit here was when they played the Heart of Illinois Fair in the summer of ’82 while touring in support of their multi-platinum-selling comeback album. Toto IV earned the band six Grammy Awards the following year.

Enjoy hearing more about the band’s early days from my interview with founding lead guitarist Steve Lukather….

This week on my Doc’s Deep Dive segment at 6:15p, I’ll play some great Toto rockers that got little airplay back in the day and have now fallen off the rock radio grid. Shame. Toto’s best known for their popular ballads, but the players were/are world class studio musician. Lukather alone has played on something like 1,500 albums in his illustrious career! And Bobby Kimball’s vocals were always awesome.

I missed starting this Monday – blame it on Day 7 of a bad ass cold and general state-of-whelm I deal with during football season.  Enjoy!

W, 10/2, Child’s Anthem (Toto)
