This year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration is going to be different for sure, what with no downtown Peoria parade for the first time in 40 years. But Kelleher’s Irish Pub & Eatery on Water Street, like every business in our area, is open and rarin’ to go with a bunch of festivities this week, taking us to Tuesday’s celebration of all things Irish.
Saturday morning’s Blarney Blitz race has been cancelled, but Kelleher’s will still host the “post-race party” with the Irish band Turas playing. Enjoy any beverage, Irish-themed or not, and eat up! Kelleher’s has the best Irish food entrees (year round) and ice cold beer selection.
Sunday is the St. Patty’s Day Family Party, starting at 11 a.m. It’s your chance to bring all your family down to Kelleher’s on Water for Irish food drinks and entertainment in a calmer atmosphere. The Flynn Irish Dancers will perform and Irish music will be played again by Turas.
Then, come Tuesday, it’s St. Patrick’s Day at Kelleher’s, the only place you need to go on the holiday where we’re all a big Irish. The Celtic Cross Bagpipers will be playing, in addition the the Flynn Irish Dancers and Turas entertain, keeping the festivities hoppin’. And the Red Bull D.J. will bump the younger music outdoors. I’ll be there for the celebration noon ’til 3 p.m.
