Glenn Frey, co-founder of that iconic band The Eagles, has passed away at the age of 67. He had been experiencing some health issues over the past few months and had finally succumbed to his illness which seemed to be complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia. He co-wrote as well as sang on many huge hits such as “Heartache Tonight,” “Take It Easy,” and “Tequila Sunrise.” Don Henley said “He was like a brother to me; we were family, and like most families, there was some dysfunction. But, the bond we forged 45 years ago was never broken.”
Glenn Frey’s time with The Eagles was absolutely amazing but he also had success as a solo artist as well, with some songs I’m sure you remember. They included “You Belong to the City,” “The One You Love,” “Smuggler’s Blues,” and from the “Beverly Hills Cop” soundtrack “The Heat is On,” all big favorites of mine.
Glenn Frey will truly be missed, as a musician, person, friend, father, husband, and rock icon that changed the world.
Below I’ve included some videos of Glenn’s solo career. Songs that I know and love and will continue to enjoy for years to come. Hope you like them too.
