Celebrate another work week half over with our weekly Hump Day Happy Hour at New Amsterdam today from 5-7 p.m. Tonight, I’ll have lots of tickets to give away for upcoming concerts and sporting events. The big ticket tonight will be Steve Miller Band tickets for his September 16 concert at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington. I’ll also have Friday tickets for the Grand Nationals Friday and Saturday VIP Access concerts along the riverfront and Peoria Chiefs tickets for both their Thirsty Thursday game and Friday’s fireworks GLO night against Quad Cities at Dozer.
New Amsterdam is a great place to take a break tonight from the Taste of Peoria. We’re on the platform, second floor, overlooking the Peoria riverfront on Water Street across from the Riverfront Museum.
And what’s not to love about NA. $2 Quesadillas and Margaritas are the main hump day specials, but there are many others. And NA is known for its fine food, namely jet-fresh seafood and delicious aged steaks. And the beer aficionado can try an $8 flight, choosing 4 of the 28 rotating draft beers.
